Former Government Department of Work & Pensions site Shepherd Road, Lytham St Anne’s for Morris Homes Limited
This project involved the removal of relict foundations and slabs, and excavation and removal of fibrous peat and sand deposits. Materials where removed from beneath roadways and proposed front gardens/driveways. Excavation was down to 3 meters and involved the control of groundwaters to facilitate excavations. Former slabs and bases on the site were crushed to form a piling mat.
146 new dwellings are to be constructed on the site and was handed over in phases prepared to level.
